We Are in Texas!!!!

We started to drive to Texas on Tuesday and it took three whole days to get there and the car ride was not fun. We stayed in a motel and got to swim for a couple hours. It was sooo nice because we got the whole pool to ourselves . When Bren and Beth did not want to swim any more, Austin and I got to jump into the deep end and have contests on who could do the biggest splashes or who held there breath the longest. I get to see my cousin J. C who is fifteen months old. I have only ever seen her when she was tiny. I am so excited to see her. We are having the American Thanksgiving here. My Grandma gets the week off but had to go to work today.

Our first meeting
Last night was our first meeting and I was so excited! We went to Royal Ciy Baptist church. We showed our video presentation. I was kind of embarrased because I had a coughing fit during the preaching but everyone was very nice and someone even brought me water and gave me cough candy. I met a girl who was very nice and we played in th gym with a bouncing ball while Bren and Austin played basketball with their friends and Bethany stayed with Mom. They have a huge building that is beautiful. The top picture is a picture of Pastor Boadway and his wife. After service, we went to Swiss Chalet with Mr. and Mrs. Boadway. We finally got home, after an hour's drive, at eleven and as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was asleep. I was lazy this morning and did not get up until nine but Bethany was the laziest of us all and did not get up until way past ten.

Thanksgiving
Monday I got to go to my Nana's house because it was Thanksgiving Day. My cousins, Payge and Cole, were there. Payge and I pigged out on mine and her favourite desert, apple pie and ice cream. We did not get a turkey dinner but that is okay because I like roast beef better. We got to pick watermelon, sweet potatoes, and pumpkins. Here is a picture of Payge and my Aunt Rebecca.

Will you take our dog?
This is our dog Abbey. The one at the top is her right now. The bottom one is her when she was just a pup. She is two right now. Her birthday is January 17. She is a sweet dog though she can be difficult. She will take our socks and guard them with her life. She will drop it, though when you talk to her firmly. I would love to take her with us but we are not allowed. She will love whoever takes her. I will miss her when we leave her, but I do not want her to become snake food. Until next time!

Our pet Skippidy

We went to the trails in the woods and found a grasshopper. Well actually Austin found it I just caught it . He wanted to make sure everyone knew that. He named it to. If I had named it, it would have been a much cooler name than that name he chose. Like , well I do not know . I just know it would have been cooler. o ya!! I was able to get Kaitlyn to come to church with us and said she wanted to come again but did not know when she could. Bethany is having a sleepover of her own. Her friend Isabelle came over and that is the reason we were able to go on a hike. We even got to see a snake!!! It was really neat. It was not big, about the size of a worm.

Nothing in Particular
These are pictures of my sister when she was a baby. Wasn't she cute??!!
My dad and Brendin are in Quebec. They will be until Wednesday. They will not be here for my birthday, nor will they have cake and ice cream. Dad is taking the boys to a blue jays game and leaving the girls at the house. On Saturday, I am having a sleep over with my friend Kaitlyn and Payge, my cousin. I am really excited and maybe I can get Kaitlyn to come to church with me the next day.

Bee Sting, Ouch!!
I have not posted in a while because nothing has really hapened. I was in the parking lot of the church next door with my friend Kaitlyn yesterday and I felt something fall on the top of my head. I used my finger to brush it off but the next moment I felt a pain in my finger. I looked down and I saw a bee at my feet. I looked at my finger and saw that it was all white whith a read dot in the middle and new it was a bee sting. It hurt for about ten minutes. I am really suprised it did not swell like all my other bug bites do.

School
Today was my second day of school and every last minute of it was boring. I like my teacher though she does give a lot of homework. She is not as bad as last years teacher, though. Boy, was she harsh!!! She gave so much homework on the first day! Actually, I am home schooled and I had the same teacher as last year (my mom) though she is getting better then last year. We went to my Nana's house Monday and I got bit by a mosquito near my eye and so now my eye is swollen. But not as bad as last year. Last year, I could hardly see out of it, it was so bad! But it is getting better and not so swollen as it was. I have these two different pairs of socks. One is orange and the other is lime green. I wear one of each pair and my Nana hates it!! It is funny to watch how she fusses over it every time I wear them. This time, when I brought them, I did not wear them,but put them in a place she would not find them until we were back in Hamilton. She has probably burned them by now. Even if she has, I have a extra pair. I have to go do my homework now.

I had so much fun yesterday!!! We went to Toronto because Brendin had a baseball game. Actually, he had three, but I only stayed for one. After his game ended, we had lunch and then Dad, Austin, Beth and I went home and after about an hour, we left for Welland. Beacon Baptist Church had just gotten a new building and we were invited to go to the grand opening. Pastor Pennell was preaching and Mrs. Wellard and Mrs. Harris sang a duet. Well I have to go get ready for church now!

A boring week.
Nothing really has happened in the past week. I was sick with a sore throat and cough but am getting better. I am going to our family doctor today, but that is later. Lately, Abbey, our dog has been wanting to play tug of war more than ever, or I am just taking the time to play with her. I have to go now!

Getting glasses and going to Camp
I got new glasses on Saturday. I picked them out last week, right before Brendin and I went to Camp YES. That was a fun week. We went swimming and canoeing and lots of other things to. My favourite was the preaching. We had it fifteen times. (I did the math) It was a great week.

Austin is at camp and has been since Monday and it is so boring without him!!!! But Saturday is going to be busy for everyone. Bethany, Mom, and I are having a yard sale; and Dad is dropping Bren off at his ballgame. Then Austin is coming home. But now I have to go because they want me to play a game with them.

New Haircuts!
Beth and I went to get our hair cut yesterday and I really like them. Usually I just get them layered but now that my bangs are long enough, I got my hair cut evenly. Bethany just got the dead ends cut off. But she had a lot of fun talking to the hairdresser.

Seeing Brother Arnold
I had a great day yesterday!!! We went to Rochester to see Bro. Arnold. We also saw some men from from Togo. They gave us a togo flag. We went to Target with the big Hoorah ( Bro Arnold) he bought us slushies and Brendin made a huge mess. We made a couple stains ln the table but that was all. I have to go to Brendins baseball game this morning so I have to go!

Yesterday my mom and I completed two pairs of culottes. They were for a girl in our church who is going to Camp YES. Austin is also going on with a bunch of other friends from our church and other churches. He is really excited about it. My time is up and I have to go.

Fun Time At the Creek
Yesterday we went to red hill creek. We fell in as soon as we could. We had most fun splashing Bre
ndin. Mostly because he splashed us a lot. It was really hard to cross the river because it
was really slippery. I fell once or twice. Austin and I were on the other side throwing rocks into the water and making big splashes that hit Bren and Beth. It was really, really fun. But then it was time to go home. Mom would not let us get in the van (because we were soaking wet) so we had to walk home while she drove beside us. But still we had lots of fun.
